IN HONOUR OF CHARLES DICKENS ON THE TWO HUNDRED ANNIVERSARY OF HIS BIRTH

From my blog I want to make my little contribution to this original idea.

Charles Dickens has been one of the most famous novelists of the nineteenth century. His novels were characterized by a great social criticism. Among his most important novels are "Great Expectations", "David Copperfield", "Oliver Twist" and "A Christmas Carol" (I have inserted a picture of this novel below).

I have been thinking of how to honour Charles Dickens and I have decided to make my own tribute to him remembering four of his most famous quotes (these are the four I have liked the most): "I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year", "The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again", "The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists", and "There are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best parts".

With this quotes, Charles Dickens demonstrates to us his culture, his literary richness and his creativity.

Charles, you will always be in our hearts and in our minds.
